Setting the Dial Type via PC-DBA (continued)
3) Select the dialing mode you want to set (Tone or Pulse).
• The default is Tone.
4) Click the Update button to enter your settings into the database on the local disk.
• Use the procedure shown above to assign dial types to other CO lines.
When you are finished:
5) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
6) Perform a SEND to copy the database changes to the DX-120 switch system memory.
SETTING THE DIAL TYPE VIA THE DET
NOTE
• chg, bksp, save, one, always, del, and ack are interactive LCD button operations.
Use the three buttons below the LCD display to activate the associated operation.
• You can press Hold at any time to return to the previous level or press the volume
buttons to return to the main DB selection screen.
1) Enter Database Administration (see page 26) using the feature code Feature # * to display the password
prompt.
2) Enter the DB Admin password (see page 27).
3) Press show to display the DB Item Select screen.
4) Enter 02-XXX-07 (where XXX is the CO line directory number: 800-839).
5) Press chg to select Tone or Pulse dialing mode.
6) Press the volume UP button to return to the DB Item Select screen to enter a new CO Line number.
7) Continue making other programming changes.
