INSTALLATION OF THE OPTION
ALE-2 AUTOMATIC LINK ESTABLISHMENT UNIT
 Make sure that the transceiver is off. Remove the
DC Power Cable, Microphone, and Antenna from
the transceiver.
 Referring to illustration at the right, remove the
eight screws affixing the Top Cover, and remove
the Top Cover.
 Referring to illustration below, mount the ALE-2
Unit to the transceiver by the supplied two screws,
then connect the supplied connection cable be-
tween the ALE-2 Unit and the J4006 on the Main
Unit of the transceiver.
 Replace the Top Cover with its eight screws while
being careful that any wires are not pinched.
 Reconnect the DC Power Cable, Microphone, and Antenna to the transceiver. This
completes installation of the ALE-2 Automatic Link Establishment Unit.
