3. Check the ame pattern. After approximately 1 to minutes, the entire burner should be glow-
ing orange/red. Tall blue or yellow ames indicate the burner has insufcient combustion air.
Check that the air shutter is fully open and ensure the venturi tube in front of the gas orice is
clear of blockage or debris (e.g. spider webs).
Turn the control knob counterclockwise to the HIGH position, then depress it and turn it to OFF.
NEVER apply force to the control knob without depressing it, as that can damage the valve.
