Choose the unit location. 2. Nailing flanges are supplied with the fireplace (found on the fireplace hearth). To level the box and secure it firmly in place, remove the nailing flanges from the hearth and install at the sides of the fireplace as shown in Figure 3. 3.

Never apply soap and water solution with a spray bottle. Do not use an open flame for leak testing. The fireplace valve must not be subjected to any test pressures exceeding 1/2 psi. Isolate or disconnect this or any other gas appliance control from the gas line when pressure testing.

Fireplace Front • The use of any non-approved replacement glass will void all product warranties. Clamps • Care must be taken to avoid breakage of the glass. • Under no circumstances should this appliance be operated without the front glass or with broken glass.

Place front right log on top of burner, right side. Align log's bottom holes with right bracket log locator studs. 7. Place top cross logs onto locator notches. Ensure logs are secure. Compare them to the illustrations below (Figs. 15, 16, 17). If any of the flames appear abnormal call a service person. A "Chimney Draw" test must be made before the installation is complete. 1. Close all doors and windows in the home and start exhaust fans in the kitchen and bathroom. 2.

At least once per year the logs and lava rock/ember material should be removed and the burner compartment vacuumed and wiped out. Remove and replace the logs as per the instructions in this manual. Always handle the logs with care as they are fragile and may also be hot if the fireplace has been in use.
