Use 4G LTE Broadband as a Failover Connection Method
For this type of Internet connection mode, you must have both WAN Ethernet broadband and
4G LTE broadband accounts. If the WAN Ethernet broadband connection fails, the router
switches automatically to the 4G LTE broadband connection.
To configure 4G LTE broadband as a failover connection method:
1. Sign in to the web user interface.
2. From the main menu, select Router Settings >
Advanced > Broadband Settings.
Internet IP
Address
Get Dynamically From ISP. If you sign in to your service or your ISP did not
provide you with a fixed IP address, the router finds an IP address for you
automatically.
Use Static IP
Address
. If you have a fixed (or static IP) address and your ISP has
provided you with an IP address, enter the address, subnet mask, and gateway IP
address into the correct fields.
For example:
- IP Address. 24.218.156.183
- Subnet mask. 255.255.255.0
- Gateway IP
Address
. 24.218.156.1
Router MAC
Address
Use Default MAC Address.
Your computer’s local address is its unique address
on your network.
Use Computer MAC
Address. Select if your ISP requires MAC authentication.
This disguises the router
’s MAC address with the computer’s own MAC address.
Use This MAC
Address
. Select if you want to manually enter the MAC address for
a different computer.
The format for the MAC address is XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX. This value might be
changed if Use Computer MAC Address is selected once a value has already
been set.
