Appendix H: CopyDisc Systems with Teac P-55 Thermal Printer
The section will provide you with detailed information on how to set up and operate your
CopyDisc 4P-55 Platinum combined duplicator and TEAC P-55 thermal re-transfer printer.
Note:
Good quality, thermal printable discs (specific for thermal re-transfer printing) should be
used with the CopyDisc 4P-55.
Note:
Your CopyDisc4 P-55 is fitted with a vacuum picker. The mechanical picker is not
compatible with the CopyDisc 4 P-55.

Carefully remove the CopyDisc duplicator and the TEAC P-55 printer from its shipping cartons and
verify that all parts are present. If there are missing or damaged parts contact Verity Systems or an
authorised partner/reseller immediately to correct any miss-packed or missing parts.

Fitting the Thermal Ribbon
Your TEAC P-55 thermal printer will come with a photo and a transfer thermal ribbon. For details
on how to fit the ribbons, please see the TEAC P-55 printer manual on the Utility Software CD
included with your printer.
Attaching your Printer and Duplicator
Your CopyDisc 4P-55 will come with the printer plate, which needs to be fitted to the CopyDisc
unit before the printer can be fitted.
Remove the four screws from the back of the CopyDisc unit, and fix the Support Bracket to the
back of the CopyDisc unit using the same four screws (figure H1).
Place the printer plate onto the CopyDisc unit as shown below (figure H2) matching the holes on
the plate with the holes on the CopyDisc unit. Screw the plate into place. Do not tighten the screws
completely.
