Encoders 1 and 2 are H.264 and Encoder 3 is MPEG4. You can customize each
encoder to meet the system requirements in terms of frame rate and
resolution.
A typical scenario would be using encoder 1 as the recorder, since it is the
primary H.264 encoder. Encoder 2 or 3 can be used for viewing or recording,
depending if you want to view live video in H.264 or MPEG4.
The following table lists the video resolutions supported by the S1800e series
multi-port encoders.

Multiport Supported Frame Rates
