Defining Monitors in the Virtual Matrix
WhenamonitorconnectedtotheHDR1800isdefinedandconfiguredinthe
VirtualMatrix,youcanuseittodisplayvideofromcamerasorconfigureitto
displayalarmvideo.
Theycanviewpredeterminedimagesequences,videofrommultiplecameras
onasinglemonitor(tours),andmultipletoursatonetime(salvos).Theusers
cancontrolPTZcameras,assigncamerastomonitorsondemand,and
simultaneouslyreplayalarm-basedvideoatmultiplelocationsforredundancy
andcoordinatedresponse.

Ifnomonitorsareassignedinthevirtualmatrix,thencameravideois
displayedonlyinRevieworWebReview.YoucanthenuseReviewin
conjunctionwithaCCTVkeyboardtoviewcameravideoandtocontrolPTZ
cameras.
Assigning Monitor IDs
Forananalogmonitortodisplayvideo,itmustbeassignedamonitorIDinthe
VirtualMatrixworkspace.WhenamonitorhasanIDnumber,youcanusethat
monitorinacameratourorsalvo,ortodisplaycameravideoonthemonitor
usinganyCCTVkeyboard.
Inamultisitedeployment,themonitorIDvaluemustnotexceed999.This
valueshouldnotexceedtheIDvalueofthesitetowhichthemonitoris
assigned.
