Defining Video Sources
WhenyouwanttoassignacameratoamonitorconnectedtotheHDR1800on
start-up,youfirstneedtoaddthecameratotheNextivaVirtualMatrix.
TheNextivaVirtualMatrixisasoftware-basedsolutionthatenablesyouto
controlCCTVequipment,suchasPTZkeyboardsandcameras,andcreate
virtualmatricestoautomaticallydistributeliveandrecordedvideo,audio,and
alarmsacrossLocalandWideAreaNetworks(LANs/WANs).
TheVideoSourceseditorintheVirtualMatrixlistsallofthecamerasthatare
available.ToaddacameratotheVirtualMatrix,youassignaVideoSourceID
tothecamera.
To define video sources
1. ClickSystem Components>Virtual Matrix>Video Sources.
AllcamerasdefinedinNextivaVMSarelistedunderVideoSourceName.
2. AssignavideosourceIDtooneormorecamerasbydoingoneofthe
following:
ToassignavideosourceIDtoasinglecamera,clickaboxtotheleftof
thecameraname.
ToassignvideosourceIDstomultiplecameras,pressandholdtheCtrl
keywhileclickingeachboxtotheleftofthecameraname.
ToassignvideosourceIDstoallcamerasatonce,clickthetop-leftbox.
3.
Click (Assign an ID).
