The Main Keyboard Section Tunable Keyboard
TOUCHPLATE KEYBOARD
The main keyboard is arranged as a piano’s keyboard. The keys are
gold plated and send out a pitch control voltage scaled to 1v/octave,
a 5 volt gate for the duration of the held note, a 5 volt trigger for 10
millisecond at the start of a key press, and a “pressure” control
voltage, which is actually determined by the amount of your skin that
touches the key. The outputs from the main keyboard can be found at
the middle/left of the module. At the right side of the module, 3 keys
select which octave the main keyboard plays. The selected octave is
indicated by LED backlighting of the key. To the upper left, there is a
touch sensitive bender, which can be plugged into the variable CV
input of the VCO controlled by the keyboard, or any other parameter
the user desires to bend up and down from finger pressure.
The 8 key tunable keyboard is made up of square shaped, gold plated
pads that send out a 5 volt gate, a pressure voltage and a control
voltage, tunable by the knob directly above each key. The currently
selected key is indicated by LED backlighting of the key. Outputs from
the tunable keyboard are found to the right of the keyboard.
Congratulations on obtaining your Verbos Electronics Touchplate Keyboard. This is a Euro-Rack format controller that can be used either with the
power supply inside a Euro-Rack case or with a positive tip 15 volt DC supply plugged into the power jack on the front (one OR the other please). It
can be used to control a modular system or any analog synthesizer responding to 1 v/octave cv and positive gates.
