Time Machine allows you to make automated backups o

your computer system under Mac OS X 10.5 and Mac OS X 10.6 or higher
1. Connect your Store ‘n’ Go hard drive to your Mac. I

you have not speci

ed a back up volume, Time Machine will ask you when you connect
f
or the
fi
rst time i
f
the device should be used as a backup drive
.
2. After your Store ‘n’ Go hard drive appears on the desktop, click on “use as backup disk” to confi rm that you want to use your drive for Time
Machine backups. In the Time Machine preferences you can confi gure your backup settings further
.
Time Machine will now automatically create backups for your Mac. Time Machine will keep hourly backups for the last 24 hours, daily backups
for the last month, and weekly backups until your drive is full.

Disconnecting Your Portable Hard Drive
Your Store ‘n’ Go hard drive is hot-swappable. It can be connected and disconnected without restarting your computer. To disconnect your
drive at any time, perform the following steps:

2. Locate the icon for your drive on the desktop, and drag it to the trash.
