Pre-drill holes for securing each side with color-matched composite screws (included)

through the center of each slat. Do not over-tighten fasteners as cracking might result.

NOTE: When using a SMB, only three sides of the SMB have openings already punched through at the bottom for

easier screw insertion. It is not required to insert a screw through the non-punched side of the SMB.

Finish the post wrap installation by returning the cove molding to the surface of the deck,

and by removing the spacer(s). The post is now ready to install guardrails.

Using the pre-punched post spacers located on the backside of the packaging carton,

slide spacers over the top of the assembled post to hold in place.

NOTE: When using the SMB Kit, where minimum 42” rail heights are required, the post wraps will extend past the top

of the factory supplied wood insert. Measure and cut a piece of 4x4 pressure treated lumber to allow wood height to

match that of the post wraps. Secure the wood extension with two predrilled athead screws.
