Installation Guide

Install Surface Mount Brackets according to their installation instructions.
Using the Surface Mount Bracket (SMB) kit, rst make sure the wood insert is plum & true. Secure the wood insert by
inserting at least 3 screws (not included) into the predrilled & countersunk holes in the SMB. Make sure to only use
at head screws. With the post secured, lower the cove molding over the post and set it onto the deck surface.
Depending on the installed rail height required, cut the Post Wrap slats to correct length. The Post Wrap should
be level to the height of the wood inserts (minimum of 43”). Apply a ¼” bead of quality construction adhesive in a
zigzag pattern down the center portion of the backside of the wraps, then position against the post. Slowly lower into
position, and repeat process for each side. Make sure to note each cut-out location of the Surface Mount Bracket.
