Lower the cove molding over the post

and set it onto the deck surface.

Apply a ¼” bead of quality construction adhesive in a zigzag pattern down the center portion of the backside of the

wraps, then position against the post. Slowly lower into position, and repeat process for each side.

Post Wrap Installation Instructions

Prior to installing railing:

Please consult local zoning laws in regards to load requirements and bottom space requirements for rails. All supporting structures must be in

accordance with applicable building codes. Neighborhood associations and/or historic districts may regulate size, type, placement and ability of

railing. Apply for permits if required by local authorities and codes. Ensure compliance prior to installation. Local building code requirements will always

supersede any and all suggested procedures and measurements in the following installation. The following installation instructions are intended as a

general guideline based on common building practices used in railing installation.

• Make sure the existing 4x4 wood post is

plumb and true.

• Depending on the installed rail height cut the

post wrap slats to the correct length.

• The post wrap should be level to the rail

height of the 4x4 wood post( minimum of 43”)

3 Using the pre-punched post spacers located on the backside of the packaging carton, slide spacers over the top of the assembled post to hold in place. 4 Pre-drill holes for securing each side with color-matched composite screws (included) through the center of each slat. Do not over-tighten fasteners as cracking might result. 5 Finish the post wrap installation by returning the cove molding to the surface of the deck, and by removing the spacer(s). The post is now ready to install guardrails. www.

Post Wrap Installation Instructions Using Surface Mount Bracket Prior to installing railing: Please consult local zoning laws in regards to load requirements and bottom space requirements for rails. All supporting structures must be in accordance with applicable building codes. Neighborhood associations and/or historic districts may regulate size, type, placement and ability of railing. Apply for permits if required by local authorities and codes. Ensure compliance prior to installation.

Using the pre-punched post spacers located on the backside of the packaging carton, slide spacers over the top of the assembled post to hold in place. NOTE: When using the SMB Kit, where minimum 42” rail heights are required, the post wraps will extend past the top of the factory supplied wood insert. Measure and cut a piece of 4x4 pressure treated lumber to allow wood height to match that of the post wraps. Secure the wood extension with two predrilled flathead screws.

3 Con los separadores de postes perforados previamente ubicados en la cara trasera de la caja del empaque, deslice los separadores sobre la parte superior del poste armado para sujetarlo en su sitio. 4 A través del centro de cada tablilla, perfore hoyos previamente para fijar cada lado con los tornillos para compuesto (incluidos) del mismo color. No apriete demasiado las sujeciones, porque puede ocasionar rajaduras.
