Install Decorative Rail Cover Connectors:
a. At about

" from each post, place decorative rail
cover connector, centered on rail (Fig. 14).
b. Use a

" drill bit to drill through the top rail on each
side of connector.
c. Drive #8 x 1" screws through holes to connect the
connectors to the top rail (two per connector) (Fig. 15).
d. Use a at head screwdriver to pry out center tab of
connector (Fig. 15).
e. Repeat for connector on opposite side of
adjacent post.
f. Place remaining connectors on top rail, spaced evenly
along the length of railing (Fig. 16)
Install Decorative Rail Cover:
a. Measure distance between posts and cut decorative
rail cover to measured length.
b. Place decorative rail cover on top of connectors and
snap into place. Press down on cover, starting from
one end, working your way down (Fig. 17).
NOTE:
• Decorative rail covers are not recommended for
use on angles. If done however, please note the
decorative rail cover will not t over the top of the
angle bracket, and would need to install ush to
the end of the bracket. This will leave an exposed
end of the rail cover.
• Decorative rail covers are not recommended for
use on stairs. If done however, please note the
decorative rail cover will not t over the top of the
stair bracket, and would need to install ush to the
end of the bracket (Fig. 18).
