1 Mark the fence location using string and line stakes (Fig. 1). Fig. 1 NOTE: Plan gate placement, opening and hardware clearance before installing fencing. Select Fence Style The Four-in-One Fence Kit can be installed in four styles (See Styles 1-4). Style 2 – Contemporary Straight Top 5 Style 1 – Pool Fence Style 3 – Contemporary Scallop Top Style 4 – Driveway Accent Mounting the Post Brackets (Dovetail) a. Once the concrete has set on the posts, you can begin to mount the dovetails from the Slidelock™ Bracket Kit onto your posts. b. See (Fig. 5 – 8) for proper placement guidelines for your selected fence style.
TIP: Use the center lines on the dovetail to aid in aligning to the center location of your post (Fig. 9). Fig. 9 center line 6 Making Your Picket Cuts (Scallop and Accent Styles) If you are installing either the Contemporary Scalloped Top (Style 3) or the Driveway Accent (Style 4), you will need to cut your 3" pickets to size, using a miter saw or fine tooth saw. NOTE: When making your picket cuts, be sure to cut the end WITHOUT the lock tab.
7 Panel Section Assembly Your kit contains two rails. One rail has two sets of slots for the pickets on the upper and lower edges. The other rail has one set of slots on only one edge. Assembling Style 1 (Pool Style Fence) NOTE: For this style, use the rail with two sets of slots for the bottom rail. Use the rail with one set of slots for the top rail, with slots facing down. Assembling Styles 2 - 4 (Contemporary Straight Top, Contemporary Scalloped Top, Driveway Accent) Fig. 14 NOTE: For these styles, use the rail with one set of slots for the bottom rail, with slots facing up.
