1 Determine gate opening: Fig. 1 X The gate opening should be 2" wider than the gate (X) for hardware clearance. The hinge kit will support gates up to 150 pounds and 6'x61⁄2' (Fig. 1). a.) Ready-to-assemble gates are available in predetermined widths. b.) For select styles, a custom size gate can be assembled from a ready-to-assemble panel and the purchase of the gate framing kit. c.) Pre-built panels can be altered to make custom gate sizes.
3 Install back plate (34107106) on the opposite side of the hinge and secure with appropriate bolt size and fastener (from 34107054 bag) (Fig. 5, 6). The included nylon spacer may be required to fill in void space. Repeat steps to install second hinge on bottom rail. See chart below for detailed fastening options.
