Instructions / Assembly

6'X42" PRIVACY GATE
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALLATION TIPS
Place the gate jambs on the ground. The end of the jamb that will be
the top of the gate measures 13-3/4" from top to first notched space
(fig. 3a).
Working from one end of the jamb to the other, insert the assembled
panel into the groove of the jamb and work it into place (fig. 3b)
Note: The center-mount rails are a snug fit and may require some
additional force to set into place. Slide the center-mount rails into the
groove in the jamb at a slight angle and hold in place with downward
pressure. While applying downward pressure, carefully tap the other
side with a rubber mallet to help fit into place (fig. 3c).
Step 3
Step 2
Starting 1/8" from the edge, place two of
the center-mount rails across the pickets
so the notched rails line up with the
grooves on the pickets. Using a non-mar-
ring rubber mallet, tap the center-mount
rails to lock them into place (fig. 2).
Carefully flip the panel over and install the
remaining center-mount rails as outlined
above. Be sure to start each rail 1/8" from
the edge.

Careful planning and measuring of your fence project is essential, as
moving posts after the concrete sets is extremely difficult.
NOTE: PicketLock
is a
patent-pending technology
that provides a glue- and
fastener-free connection
between the pickets and
rails. You may spray soapy
water onto components to
help them slide more easily
into their corresponding
channels. A non-marring
rubber mallet may also
be used to gently tap
components more firmly
into place.
PLANNING: Prior to con-
struction, check with your
local regulatory agency for
special code requirements in
your area. Contact your
utility supplier to locate and
mark underground lines.

Step 1
Find a clean surface for
gate panel assembly.
Beginning with the starter
picket, lay all pickets in the
same direction and connect
them so the tongue side fits
into the groove side. Finish
with the end picket (fig. 1).
