• Continue through the installation wizard, accepting license terms and confirming
OWHOME and WOW_HOME locations. After the files are extracted, continue with the
WebAppsInstall installation script as documented below.
Important note: the WebApps post installation script can be re-run if required, i.e. without
rerunning the InstallAnywhere installer:
cd $OWHOME/WebApps/install
./WebAppsInstall –o $OWHOME
Stage 1 – Installation Parameters
The WebAppsInstall script is wrapper to allow selection of which WebApps application
to install. Select option 1 to install WOW.

After an environmental check, the installation script prompts for the following parameters:
• WOW Apache server host: the name of the system on which Apache will run: see
pre-installation considerations. This is referred to as <hostname> hereafter.
• WOW Apache server URL: if DNS is configured this will default correctly, if not, enter
http://<hostname>.
• WOW Apache user: defaults to the user name you are using to run the install script:
this should be a user with read-write access to the OpenWorks projects – typically a
data loader or administrator.
• WOW Apache user default group: the default group of the user running Apache.
Enter the primary group for the WOW user.
• WOW administration group: enter the Linux group for a privileged group of users
who can do WOW configuration through the browser. To disable browser-based
configuration file editing, set this to a non-existent group.
• ORACLE_HOME: the ORACLE_HOME location, default taken from the environment.
Confirm the default value.
• ORACLE_SID: the ORACLE_SID location, default taken from the environment.
Confirm the default value.
• LM_LICENSE_FILE: the location of the OpenWorks license file, defaults to
$OWHOME/lam/license.dat if not set in the environment.
