BOLT BODY ASSEMBLY MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED 0013 00

DISASSEMBLY

1. Place the bolt body assembly (7) in a vertical position with the handle up.

2. Place the hook (6) of the bolt disassembly tool (5) into the disassembly notch (3) in the firing pin cap (2).

WARNING

The firing pin is under spring tension. Release it slowly to prevent injury to personnel.

3. Pull down on the handle (4) of the bolt disassembly tool (5) to compress the firing pin spring and relieve the tension on

the bolt body assembly (7).

4. Turn the bolt disassembly tool (5) counterclockwise to unscrew and separate the firing pin assembly (1) from the bolt

body assembly (7).
