Microsoft® Windows® 8 Compatibility
Due to changes made by Microsoft® during latter stage de-
velopment of Windows® 8, the Intel® hardware platform that
the Sahara NetSlate a525 utilizes is not currently supported
by Windows 8. Specically, there is not a proper video driver
provided by either Microsoft or Intel for the GMA 3650.
A basic video driver is supplied by Microsoft in Windows 8, but
it does not properly support the full resolution of the LCD panel,
and it does not provide hardware acceleration for 3D or video.
We therefore do not currently recommend upgrading your
Sahara NetSlate a525 to either Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.
If a proper video driver becomes available, we will provide a
download link on our website and change our recommendation.
