BG-S6 BATTERY GRIP Designed for the Sony a9 and a7 III Series Mirrorless Cameras
Thank you for choosing Vello. The Vello BG-S6 is designed for the Sony a9 and a7 III Series mirrorless cameras. It accepts two NP-FZ100 batteries, essentially doubling your camera’s runtime. The grip provides a shutter release, front and rear dials, C1 and C2 custom function buttons, control lock switch, AF-ON, AEL, as well a joystick Multi-Selector, making it comfortable to shoot in portrait orientation. 2 Please read through this entire manual before using the BG-S6 battery grip.

Attaching the Grip 1. Ensure that the camera power is turned off, and the control lock on the BG-S6 is in the locked position. 2. Open the camera’s battery chamber, and remove the battery. Then disconnect the battery door from the camera, using the latch. 6 3. Insert the camera’s battery door into the grip’s battery door holder, using the door latch. Then lock the door in place.
INTRODUCTION 7 Rotate the locking wheel counterclockwise until it’s firmly tightened. OVERVIEW 5. Insert the grip’s power contacts into the camera’s battery chamber, and align the camera mounting screw with the camera’s tripod socket. ASSEMBLY 4.
Inserting the Batteries 1. Lift and rotate the battery tray’s lock counterclockwise, and remove the battery tray from the grip. 2. Align the contacts of the first battery and slot 1. Insert the battery toward the contac ts, and push down to lock the battery in place. 8 3. Align the contacts of the second battery and slot 2. Slide the battery in, and press down until it clicks.

Removing the Batteries 1. Turn the camera off. Lift and rotate the battery tray lock counterclockwise, and remove the battery tray from the grip. 10 2. Remove batteries 1 and 2 by lifting the batteries out of the tray.
When two batteries are installed in the BG-S6, your camera will automatically select the battery with lower power remaining. The battery level will appear on your camera’s LCD with the battery level percentage for only the battery in use. When the battery is depleted, your camera will switch to the other battery in the grip.
