Introduction The Vello BG -S2 accepts t wo Sony NP-F W50 rechargeable batteries to effectively double the runtime of your Sony Alpha A7, A7R, and A7S mirrorless camera, making it easier to shoot for longer durations without replacing your camera’s batteries. The BG-S2 attaches securely to your camera’s 1/4˝-20 tripod socket, and the nonslip rubber on the grip offers enhanced handling when shooting in vertical position.

Attaching the Grip 1. Ensure that the power is turned off on the camera and that the on/off switch is set to Off on the battery grip. 2. Remove the battery from your c amer a’s bat ter y chamber. 6 3. Remove your camera’s battery chamber door by pulling the release latch on the inside of the door as indicated above.
INTRODUCTION 7 Swing the door shut and slide the switch to the LOCK position. OVERVIEW 5. To prevent loss, place the battery chamber door into the BG-S2 battery door compartment. Align your camera’s battery chamber door with the BG-S2 battery door compartment. Insert the battery door’s bottom pin into the compartment. Pull the battery door’s release latch and insert top of the door into the compar tment as indicated by the arrows. Let go of the latch to lock the battery door in place. ASSEMBLY 4.
6. Connect the BG-S2 grip to the camera, while aligning the grip’s mounting screw with the camera’s tripod socket. 7. Rotate the at tachment wheel in the direc tion shown by the arrow until it is firmly tightened. 8 When removing the grip, turn the camera power off and remove the batteries.
2. F l i p t h e b a t t e r y t r ay latch so you can rotate it counterclockwise and pull the battery tray out of the grip. 9 3. In the bat ter y tray are compartments for batteries 1 and 2. Align battery 1 as indicated by the diagram, noting the springs inside the compartment. Insert battery 1 spring-side first, and push down so it snaps into place. 4. Align battery 2 as indicated by the diagram in the compartment, and slide it in until it snaps into place. 5. Make sure the bat ter y tray latch is rotated co u n t e r c l o c k w i s e a n d slide the battery tray into the grip. Rotate the latch clockwise and reposition it so it’s flush with the side of the grip, then turn on the camera and grip. 10 To remove battery 1, pull the battery toward the springs and lift the battery up and out of the compartment.
