Attaching the Grip 1. Ensure that the camera power is turned off. 2. Turn the camera upside down and open the camera’s battery chamber door. Pull gently at a 45° angle until the chamber door detaches. 6 3. Slide the camera battery chamber door into the BG -N16 chamber door holder for safekeeping.
INTRODUCTION 5. Rotate the locking wheel counterclockwise until it is firmly tightened. 7 6. Connect the shutter release cable from the cable release socket on the battery grip to the remote release port on the camera body. Inserting Batteries 1. Flip the battery chamber lock up and twist it counterclockwise to open the battery chamber door. 2. Line up the contacts on the batteries with the contacts inside the battery chamber. 8 3. Inser t batteries into the battery chamber. When installing two batteries, wait for the confirmation LED on the back of the camera to blink before inserting the second battery.
