BG-C3 BATTERY GRIP Designed For The Canon 20D, 30D, 40D, And 50D SLR Cameras

Enjoy the many benefits that a battery grip offers, such as extended shooting time and more control and comfort when shooting in a vertical (portrait) orientation. The Vello BG-C3 is compatible with the Canon 20D, 30D, 40D, And 50D SLR cameras.
2. Only use with batteries and battery holders recommended in this manual. 6. Turn the grip power off when not shooting vertically. 3. Attaching The Grip A B 1. Ensure that the power is turned off on the camera and that the power switch is set to OFF on the battery grip. 2. Remove the battery from the camera battery compartment. 3. 40D/50D: Open the camera battery chamber cover at a 35º angle and gently pull the cover to remove it. 20D/30D: Refer illustration (B) above.
INTRODUCTION 5. Remove the protective cap and connect the BGC3 grip to the camera, while aligning the grip’s mounting screw with the camera’s tripod socket. 7 6. Rotate the attachment wheel in the direction shown by the arrow until it is firmly tightened. When removing the grip, turn the camera power off, remove batteries, and replace protective contact cap. Inser ting Batteries 1. Ensure that the power is turned off on the camera and grip. Slide the battery compartment lever in the direction indicated above and open the battery chamber door. Press both release levers outward and remove the AA battery holder. 2. Canon BP-511A Batteries: Insert up to two batteries by sliding them into any slot inside the BG-C3 battery grip, while ensuring the correct orientation as shown on the battery door compartment. Close the compartment cover. 8 3.
INTRODUCTION To remove either the batteries or the battery holder, hold down on the two battery release levers to unlock. 5. Switch the grip power to ON and then turn on the camera’s power. Check the battery level in the control panel or viewfinder. 9 6. Household Power Outlet: The Canon ACK-E8 AC Power Adapter Kit (sold separately) can be connected to the grip. Place the DC coupler through the small groove on the back of the grip. Ensure that the cord doesn’t get pinched by the battery holder.
