This camera accessory offers extended shooting time by housing two LP-E17 batteries (not included). Attaching the Grip 1. Ensure that your camera power is turned off, and remove the battery. 2. On a flat surface, turn the Canon SL2 camera upside down, and open the battery chamber door and DC cord hole cover. 6 3. Match up the metal contacts inside the SL2’s battery chamber with the dummy battery. Insert the dummy battery, and push it all the way in until it’s locked in place. Close the camera’s battery chamber door.
INTRODUCTION 5. Rotate the at tachment wheel clockwise to secure the grip to the camera. Note: The dummy battery’s cable will protrude slightly from the camera’s DC cord hole after attaching the grip. 7 6. Connec t the 2.5 mm shutter release cable from the grip’s shutter release cable port to the remote port on the Canon SL2. 7. Pull down on the grip’s battery door latch, a nd open the ba t ter y compartment. Insert one or two LP-E17 type batteries, matching the contacts on the batteries with the ones inside the grip. 8. Close the battery compartment door until it clicks. Turn the camera on, and view the battery power level on the LCD screen. 8 Note: When removing the grip, turn the camera power off before removing the batteries.
