Basic information

The multipart international standard

IEC 61010 corresponds

with the EN 61010 standard as well as the

VDE regulation 0411

The aim of the standard is to protect the user against the follo-

wing dangers through suitable structures (e.g.):

• Dangerous body currents

• Electrical burns

• Mechanical danger

• Excessively high temperature

The provisions of the standard relating to reliable functioning,

efficiency and other characteristics of the devices, as well as the

maintenance of the same shall be applied to the following devi-

ces:

• Measuring and testing devices

• Control and regulation devices

• Laboratory devices

• Measuring accessories for the above-mentioned devices

Grundsätzliches

Die internationale Norm IEC 61010 liegt auch als Europanorm

(EN 61010) vor und ist zugleich VDE-Bestimmung (VDE 0411).

Ziel der Norm ist es, den Benutzer durch geeignete Konstruk-

tionen vor folgenden Gefahren zu schützen (z.B.):

• gefährliche Körperströme

• elektrische Verbrennungen

• mechanische Gefährdung

• überhöhte Temperatur

Die zuverlässige Funktion, Leistungsfähigkeit oder andere

Eigenschaften von Geräten sowie deren Wartung wird von der

Norm auf folgende Geräte angewendet:

• Mess- und Prüfgeräte

• Steuer- und Regelgeräte

• Laborgeräte

• Messzubehör für oben genannte Geräte
