CSR1 – PROFESSIONAL METAL DETECTOR 1. Introduction Thank you for buying the CSR1! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't use it and contact your dealer. 2. Assembly Open the carton and remove the main housing assembly. Twist the plastic stem lock at the end of the upper stem to allow the lower stem to be inserted. Adjust the length and rotate the lower stem to wrap the cable around the stems and take up any slack.
The condition of the batteries is continuously monitored and shown on the unit display. Make sure to select the installed batteries under the Battery section of the Setup menu to obtain a correct readout. New or fully charged batteries should cause the entire battery display to be filled. As the batteries drain, the symbol will gradually empty. If the battery symbol is empty, the batteries should be replaced or recharged (if rechargeables are fitted).
b. Menu / Scroll Button (p.1 #9) This rotary control is used to select the desired menu option in the menu system or to adjust the value of a setting. c. ENTER (p.1 #11) When no menus are displayed, pushing the ENTER key will display the menus. Once a menu option has been highlighted, pressing the ENTER button will select that option. If a value is being set, pushing the ENTER button will store that value. d. Pinpoint Push Button (p.
b. Discrimination This range of functions allows you to reject or ignore unwanted signals generated by items such as pull tabs. It can also act as "Notch Accept" or "Notch Reject". There are four options to set the discrimination level to give maximum flexibility and ease of setting. A black block under the line of ID numbers indicates that a signal with that number will give no audio sound but the ID display will still show the signal.
c. Sensitivity MOTION GAIN DISCRIM SENSITIVITY AUDIO PROGRAMS SET UP MOTION GAIN PIN -PT GAIN TUNE BACK This sets the sensitivity of the audio signal and the ID display in normal search or motion mode. The level is set by rotating the MENU/SCROLL control, the current level is indicated on the display. Once the desired level has been set by rotating the MENU/SCROLL control, press ENTER to store the setting. NOTE: This setting has no effect on the RADAR display or audio level in Pin Point mode.
SILENT SEARCH DISCRIM SENSITIVITY AUDIO PROGRAMS SET UP DISCRIM SIL SEARCH MODE OFF ON BACK Silent search will suppress the background tone set by the TUNE setting. In this mode audio will only be heard if there is a buried object. The rest of the time the audio will be silent. Use the MENU/SCROLL control to highlight the desired option, ON or OFF, and then press the ENTER button. NOTE: Adjusting the TUNE level will automatically turn Silent Search off. OFF: turns Silent Search OFF.
OPTIONS DISCRIM SENSITIVITY AUDIO PROGRAMS SET UP GR’ND TYPE OPTIONS RECALL STORE BACK DEFAULT LAST MANUAL OFF MANUAL ON This allows the operator to select which settings are restored when the CSR1 is switched on. Highlight the desired choice using the MENU/SCROLL control and then press the ENTER button. DEFAULT (setting): this will tell the CSR1 to load the factory default settings every time it is switched on.
BRIGHTNESS: This option sets the brightness level of the backlight. In normal daylight the backlight is not required and it should be set to 0. At night or in conditions of poor light the backlight level should be adjusted by rotating the MENU/SCROLL control and then pressing the ENTER button when satisfied, this will store the setting. IMPORTANT NOTE: The backlight consumes a lot of power compared with the low consumption circuitry of the rest of the CSR1.
b. Detection Range Your CSR1 is a top performance deep seeker but adverse soil conditions can significantly reduce the depth of detection. Detection ranges will vary depending on the size of the object, the length of time an object has been buried, and the type of ground the object is buried in.
Remember, BE PATIENT and WORK SLOWLY. Do not try to cover too large an area. Restrict yourself to a small area and work through it thoroughly. Make a note of the position and extent of the area, and then when you return you can start again further on without missing any ground or covering the same area twice. It is also important to keep the detector head as close to the ground as possible.
b. Oscillating signal a) This could be due to poor battery connections. Ensure that the batteries are securely clipped into place. b) Loose search head cable connection - tighten. c) Interference from a vehicle using a radio transmitter or possibility a stationary source of electromagnetic radiation - if this occurs then reduce the sensitivity. If the problem persists then the best remedy is to wait until the transmission stops. c.

b. Discriminatie Deze functies laten u toe ongewenste signalen, zoals die van lipjes van drankblikjes, te filteren. Het kan ook dienen om waarden te accepteren of te negeren. Er zijn vier mogelijkheden om de discriminatie in te stellen, om u een optimaal gebruiksgemak te geven. Een zwarte balk onder de identificatieschaal geeft aan dat die waarden geen audiosignaal zullen veroorzaken, maar ze worden wél nog altijd getoond op het scherm.
c. Sensitivity (gevoeligheid) MOTION GAIN DISCRIM SENSITIVITY AUDIO PROGRAMS SET UP MOTION GAIN PIN -PT GAIN TUNE BACK Dit menu regelt de gevoeligheid van het audiosignaal en het scherm in de normale zoekmode (bewegingsmode). U bepaalt het niveau door aan de MENU/SCROLL-knop te draaien ; het huidige niveau ziet u op het scherm. Als u het gewenste niveau ingesteld hebt, druk dan op ENTER om deze instelling te bewaren.

b. Detectiebereik De CSR1 is heel goed voor zoeken op grote diepte, maar de bodemsoort kan het detectiebereik ernstig beperken. Het detectiebereik is afhankelijk van de grootte van het voorwerp, het tijdstip waarop het begraven werd, en het soort grond waarin het begraven is. Vaste grondsoorten leveren de beste resultaten op.
Denk er dus aan: WEES GEDULDIG en WERK LANGZAAM. Tracht niet een te groot terrein te bestrijken. Beperk u tot een klein gebied en doorzoek dit grondig. Noteer de plaats en de afmetingen van de doorzochte zone, zodat u later net iets verder kunt beginnen zonder een stuk over te slaan of tweemaal te doorzoeken. Het is ook belangrijk dat u de zoekspoel zo laag mogelijk bij de grond houdt. Ideaal zou zijn dat u over de grond strijkt met de spoel, zodat u niets van het bereik verliest.
b. Oscillerend signaal a) Dit kan veroorzaakt worden door slecht geplaatste batterijen. - Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen goed contact maken en stevig vastzitten op hun plaats. b) De detectorkopkabel zit los. - Maak hem vast. c) Interferentie door een voertuig met een radiozender of mogelijks een vaste elektromagnetische stralingsbron. In dit geval verlaagt u best de gevoeligheid. Als het probleem aanhoudt, wacht u best tot de uitzending stopt. c.

La nuit ou quand il fait sombre, vous pouvez l'allumer en sélectant ce menu, en modifiant la clarté avec le bouton MENU/SCROLL et en pressant ENTER. REMARQUE IMPORTANTE: l'éclairage de fond demande beaucoup de puissance en comparaison avec le reste de l'électronique du CSR1.
b. Portée de détection Votre CSR1 est très performant, mais un mauvais sol peut fortement limiter la profondeur de détection. La portée de la détection varie en fonction de la taille de l'objet, de la période pendant laquelle l’objet a été enterré et du type de terrain dans lequel l'objet est enterré. Les terrains présentant les meilleures conditions sont bien compacts.
La plupart des débutants font l'erreur de se précipiter un peu partout en espérant faire une découverte exceptionnelle par hasard. Si, par exemple, une bague de valeur a été enterrée à 10 cm de profondeur sur le site où vous effectuez votre recherche, si vous vous précipitez au hasard et avec empressement sur le site, vous aurez plus de chances de ne pas la trouver.
7. Problèmes et solutions a. Le détecteur ne fonctionne pas a) Vérifiez l’état de chargement des piles. (Voir "3. Piles et test des piles") b) Vérifiez que le disque chercheur est correctement connecté au boîtier de commande au moyen du connecteur fixé au câble du disque chercheur. c) Permutez les piles et assurez-vous que les connexions ont été effectuées de manière correcte et sûre. La durée de vie des piles varie considérablement d'une marque à l'autre.

Um die besten Ergebnisse zu bekommen, ist es wichtig, dass Sie die Vorgehensweise für jedes spezifische Gebiet im Voraus planen. Die Taktik hängt von dem Typ des Suchgebietes ab.

Bewegen Sie 1 Meter pro Sekunde im Bewegungsmodus und 0,5 Meter pro Sekunde im Stillstandmodus. Jeder Benutzer muss selber die Geschwindigkeit bestimmen.
