Velbon was established in Kobe, Japan back in 1955.
Ever since then, it has been creating photo and video tripods from
high-end professional, right down to compact travel-tripods, under
the respected and world-famous brand name of Velbon.
Vel comes from the pronunciation of the word Very in Japanese
and Bon is from the French word meaning Good in English: So
Velbon means Very Good from the original concept.
