Quick Start Guide
1. Charging the X-Drone ba ery and installa on
To charge the X-Drone ba ery connect it to the X-Drone ba ery charger and then connect the
charger to an AC power source. Whilst charging the LED on the charger will turn red, when fully
charged the LED will turn green. Ensuring that the X-Drone is switched off , insert the ba ery
into the ba ery compartment on the X-Drone and lock the ba ery into posi on. Refer to
sec on 2 (page 6) of the X-Drone manual.
2. Assembling propellers and guards
A ach the propellers with the grey caps to the motor sha s without “P” marks and a ach the
propellers with the black caps to the motor sha s with “P” marks. Tighten the propellers as per
the lock direc on. To install a propeller guard remove the two M3x8 screws at the end of each
motor, then place the propeller guard in posi on and a ach using the M3x12 screws provided.
Tighten the screws as required. Refer to sec on 4 (page 12) of the X-Drone manual.
3. X-Drone controller
Ensure you take me to familiarize yourself with the X-Drone controller and the func ons it
performs. Before each use make sure the controller has suffi cient ba ery. If the ba eries are
low the controller will make a sound to indicate low power. Please remove the ba eries if you
do not intend to use the controller for a long me. Refer to sec on 5 (page 14) of the X-Drone
manual.
4. Pre-fl ight checks and calibra ng the X-Drone
- Ensure controller, X-Drone, smartphone range extender and smartphone are fully charged.
- Ensure propellers are correctly installed.
- Ensure the microSD card is properly inserted before using the camera to capture photos
and videos.
- Check if the motors start properly a er the X-Drone is switch on.
Make sure to calibrate the compass before use or in every new ight loca on. The compass
is very sensi ve to electromagne c interference, which can cause abnormal compass data
leading to poor ight performance or even ight failure. Regular calibra on is required for
op mum performance. Refer to sec on 7 (page 21) of the X-Drone manual.
5. Smartphone App
Download the free app for iOS or Android to allow your X-Drone to connect to your phone
using the in-built WiFi. Turn on the controller, smartphone range extender and the X-Drone
and then turn on the WiFi on your phone and then enter the phone’s WiFi se ngs. Look for
X-Drone in the list of available networks and select to connect.
You may need to refresh the list or scan for networks for the camcorder to appear. Please enter
MUVIXD01 as the password. Refer to sec on 8 (page 27) of the X-Drone manual.
6. Failsafe protec ons
If the X-Drone loses signal from the controller the Automa c Flight Control System will return
it to the home point* and land safely. This reduces the chances of the X-Drone ge ng lost or
crashing in case the controller signal is lost.
*The home point is the X-Drone’s posi on where the X-Drone successfully scanned and connected to the satellite. To
ensure that the X-Drone successfully ies back to the home point if it enters failsafe mode please only take-off a er
the X-Drone’s GPS has successfully connected to the satellite.
If the X-Drone is out of control toggle the S4 switch on the controller several mes to switch ight
mode. When the signal is restored, the controller will regain control and you can con nue to use
the controller to operate the X-Drone.Refer to sec on 7 (page 25) of the X-Drone manual.
