Overvoltage arresters for Ex systems

B62-30 W can be used as overvoltage arrester in Ex systems. In Ex areas, overvoltage ar-

resters must only be mounted in zone 1 or zone 2 (not in zone 0). You must differentiate

between overvoltage protection of intrinsically and non-intrinsically safe circuits.

For Ex systems, please note the installation conditions as well as the special prerequisites

cited in the respective conformity certificates.
