Overvoltage arrester for Ex systems
The unit B62-30W can be used as overvoltage arrester in Ex systems. In the Ex area, the
overvoltage arresters must only be installed in zone 1 and 2 (not zone 0). You must
differentiate between overvoltage protection of intrinsically safe and non intrinsically safe
circuits.
For Ex systems, please note the installation regulations and the special prerequisites cited in
the respective conformity certificates.
