Touch screen Input device, which releases functions in the
POS system when an operator touches the
buttons on the POS system’s display.
User interface All display elements and buttons that are ar-
ranged on the screen for displaying informa-
tion or carrying out functions.
Wireless Local
Area Network
(WLAN)
Wireless radio network for devices. Devices
can transmit data via Wi-Fi. To use Wire-
lessLAN an access point has to be installed
and configured.
Wireless network Network in which data is exchanged between
devices via radio.
X-report Intermediate report, where data is not de-
leted from the memory.
Z-report Final report, where data is deleted from the
memory.
