The power up test display
contains unexpected
characters.
The system fails to boot the
operating system.
No response to keyboard
commands.
The terminal settings are
incorrect, or the console
circuitry is faulty.
The system defaults are
incorrectly set.
Keyboard is not connected.
Make sure the settings are
correct, then run the power-up
test again. If the terminal is set
correctly, and trouble persists,
contact your Digital services
representative.
Set the system defaults as
described in the OpenVMS
Factory Installed Software User
Guide, then try booting the
system again. If the system fails
to boot, contact your Digital
services representative.
Connect the keyboard to the
keyboard port.

using the supplied operating
system.
