Problem Possible Cause Action
Power is on, but there is no
screen display.
Brightness and contrast
controls are not correctly
set.
Terminal is off.
Terminal cable or power
cord is incorrectly installed.
Fuse may be blown on the
terminal.
Terminal settings may be
incorrect.
Terminal is defective.
Port to which the terminal
connects may be faulty.
The terminal cable may be
faulty.
The break/enable switch is
in the wrong position.
Adjust the brightness and con-
trast controls.
Turn on the terminal.
Check all terminal connections:
ensure that the terminal is
connected to port 3.
Replace the fuse.
Check the terminal settings; see
terminal documentation.
Try another terminal.
Replace the video terminal
Try connecting the terminal to
another system. If this solution
works, the port to which the
terminal was connected is
faulty. If the terminal still does
not operate, it is faulty. In either
case, contact your Digital
services representative.
Connect the cable to another
system and terminal. If that
terminal now does not work,
the cable is faulty. Contact your
Digital services representative
for a new one.
Turn off the system. Set the
break/enable switch to the down
position, then turn the system
on.
