Synchronous Communication Option
The VAX 4000 108 system supports the DSW43-AA synchronous communications option.
This communications option provides two synchronous communications ports and allows
you to connect the system to a peripheral that uses an EIA-232 (V.24) 25-pin connector via
a 2-ft cable. You can use other interface standards with this option if you order different
cables Table 3-2 lists each interface standard and the part number of the corresponding
cable. The BC19x-02 cables listed in are 2-foot cables; you must order the extension
cables separately. Contact your Digital sales representative for information on ordering
any of the different cables that support these interface standards.
