1 From the Manage Polling Ranges window, select New > UDP/IP. The Polling Ranges
Definition window appears.
2 Select Broadcast to IPv4 address.
3 Enter the Host computer network address that you want to poll in the Address field.
4 Enter a name for the search next to Descriptive Name.
5 To specify a UDP port number to use for polling, enter it in the Port field. The default
<Standard> port is 1505.
6 To omit the search from the Ranges list located on the Peer-to-Peer Hosts tab, click
Hide this range on the Peer-to-Peer Hosts page.
7 Save your search using one of the following methods:
Click Apply to save changes and leave the Polling Range Definition window open.
Click OK to save changes and close the Polling Range Definition window.
NOTE: Select Broadcast to IPv4 address to search for remote Host computers by
sending a packet to a specific address. Note that broadcasts to other networks or
subnets only work if intervening routers are configured to forward broadcasts.

To locate one or more Host computers by polling a range of IPv4 addresses, follow these
