Supported Stream Types
You can add any of the video types shown below in Table 4. Note that the Portal Server
supports MPEG-2 video delivered as a transport stream only. It does not support video
Source File Browse to the folder on your PC or a network drive that have the
video you wish to add.
Destination Choose a folder you would like to publish the video to. Only the
folders you have permission to publish to will be shown in the
dropdown list.
Video Name Enter the name you want displayed on the ETV Portal Server
interface. If adding Windows Media files, you must include the file
extension; valid file extensions are
.asf, .wmv, .wma, .mp3, and .wsx.
Use any combination of alphanumeric characters and the following
special characters
. ! ~ / ( ) _ -
Keywords Assign keywords that can be used to search for the video later.
Description Define a brief description of the video. This is displayed in the
messages area of the user interface when the video is played.
Additional Info A window similar to this is shown only if an administrator has added
Custom Field(s). It can be used to provide additional descriptive
information about a video.
Reference Links Use this window to add or delete related web page links on the Info
page associated with a video.
Advanced Shown only if you have Expiration Privileges. Use to set expiration date,
viewing period, and copyright restrictions.
• Expiration – content will expire after the Expiration Date or the
Viewing Period, depending on which radio button you select.
• Copyright Restrictions – Use to set the maximum number of
concurrent viewers. This overrides the default Global Setting.
