FAQ’s

maintenance/troubleshooting checks.
Problem Cause Solution
Cleaner won’t run
No electricity in the electrical outlet Check fuse or breaker
Blown fuse/tripped breaker Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse
Cleaner won’t pick up/loss
of suction
Automatic shut-off activated
Turn cleaner off and then on again or empty
the dirty water tank (See page 7).
Filter or filter lid missing or not positioned
correctly
Ensure dirty water tank filter and filter lid
are positioned in the dirty water tank lid
Dirty water tank or clean water tank not
positioned correctly
Ensure both tanks are locked in place
Filter is dirty or needs replacing Clean or replace filter
Nozzle not properly positioned
Ensure nozzle is replaced properly
and locked
Water puddling behind cleaner
Excess cleaning solution foaming in tanks Use only Vax Floor Cleaner
Clean water tank not correctly installed Ensure tank is installed correctly
Dirty water tank is full Empty tank
Cleaner does not pick
up dirty solution
Cleaner not set to PICKUP Set mode selector switch to PICKUP
Dirty water tank not properly installed
Ensure that the dirty water tank is correctly
installed
Dirty water tank full / Automatic

Remove and empty the dirty water tank
Filter or filter lid missing or not

Ensure dirty water tank filter and filter lid
are positioned in the dirty water tank lid
Cleaner solution won’t dispense
Clean water tank not firmly in place Ensure tank is securely locked in position
