To ground a single-segment ThinWire network on the DESQA mod-

ule, use a grounding clamp (P/N 90–08927–00) and an unshrouded T-

connector (P/N 12–25534–01) as shown in Figure 2–35. Contact your

Digital sales representative concerning these parts.

2.6.6.2 Making a Standard Network Connection at the DESQA Module

Make a standard network connection at the DESQA module as follows:

NOTE

The DESQA module without the Ethernet connector

switch is conﬁgured at the factory for the ThinWire Eth-

ernet. If you need to select the standard Ethernet port,

call your Digital service representative.

1. Find the Ethernet transceiver cable (see Figure 2–36). The cable has

a plug at one end and a socket at the other end.

2. Feed the plug under the cable management bracket from the rear of

the cabinet and insert it into the socket on the DESQA module.
