The console stores the default boot flags in these 8 bytes, whose value is saved
in an environment variable. The primary boot program fetches the boot flags
from this environment variable. This field is zeroed on detection of an NVR
failure at power on. It may be inspected and modified using the SHOW/SET
BOOT_OSFLAGS console commands.
