Safety net 3, Estate
The safety net can be mounted behind the
rear seats or, if the rear seat backrests are
folded and the seat cushions raised,
behind the front seats.
Passengers must not be carried behind the
safety net.
Fitting behind the rear seats
Remove the luggage compartment cover -
see left column.
Unroll the safety net.
There are two brackets in the roof frame.
Hook the net rods into the brackets on one
side and then the other. Slide forward to
engage.

Adjust strap length on safety net by
attaching the upper hook to the eye of the
strap, see illustration 17085 T, and attach
to eyes in the right and left of the floor.

Fitting behind front seats
Raise the rear seat cushions, see page 72.
Unroll the safety net.
There are two brackets in the roof frame
above the front seats. Hook the net rods
into the brackets on one side and then the
other. Slide forward to engage.
Adjust strap length on safety net by
attaching the upper hook to the eye of the
strap, see illustration 17085 T, and attach
to eyes in the right and left of the floor.
Remove the outer rear head restraints and
fold the backrests forward, see page72.
