To activate
Press the SPORT button. The LED in the
button illuminates.
In vehicles with automatic transmission 3
or Easytronic3, control indicator 1 also
illuminates.
SPORT mode cannot be activated if the
Winter programme 3 is running (vehicles
with automatic transmission 3 or
Easytronic 3). Winter programme - see
pages 180, 186, 193.
To deactivate
Briefly press the SPORT button again or
switch off the ignition. The LED in the
button goes out.
Holding it pressed switches off ESP®
Plus
,
see page 209. SPORT mode remains
engaged.
SPORT mode is deactivated if the Winter
programme 3 is switched on (vehicles with
autom atic transmission 3 or Ea sytronic 3).

Control indicator IDS+ for SPORT mode
Lights for around 10 seconds after opening
the driver's door. Illumination during
driving indicates a fault in the system. The
system is not functioning. Have the cause
of the fault eliminated by a workshop. The
self-diagnosis integrated into the system
facilitates rapid fault identification.
