Dismounting the coupling ball bar
Unlock coupling ball bar (key to position 1
– page 240, Fig. 17222 T).
Pull out turn knob and then turn it clockwise
as far as it will go. Pull coupling ball bar
down out of the coupling housing and stow
in compartment in the luggage
compartment – page 239.
Insert the sealing plug in the hole for the
coupling ball bar. Fold away the socket
– page 240, Fig. 17221 T.
Do not use steam-jet cleaners or other
high-pressure cleaners to clean the
coupling ball bar.
Stowage of coupling ball bar
Hatch
Stow the coupling ball bar in the pouch and
fasten it in the luggage compartment
cargo box with the strap.
Estate
Stow the coupling ball bar in the
compartment in the spare wheel well of the
luggage compartment, fastening it with
the strap.
