For the safety of pedestrians, the exterior
mirrors will swing out of their normal
mounting position in the event of an
accident-like impact.
As exterior mirrors are convex, objects are
closer than they appear. Use interior mirror
to judge size and d istance of objects.
Do not scrape ice from exterior mirrors or
force them if frozen. Use a de-icer.
Automat ic anti-dazzle ext eri or mirrors 3
Dazzle is a utoma tica lly reduced.
Exterior mirrors dim to reduce glare
autom atically in conjunction with the
autom atic anti-dazzle interior mirror 3 -
see p age 28, Fig. S14381.
Interior mirror
To adjust interior mirror, swivel mirror
housing.
Swivel lever on underside of m irror housing
to reduce d azzle at night.
Take care when driving with interior mirror
adjusted for night vision. Rear view may be
slightly distorted in this position.
