Wheels
Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaning agent to
clean the wheels.
Avoid using abrasive materials and
brushes that can damage the finish.
Wheels are painted and can be treated
with the same agents as the body. For alloy
whee ls, we recomm end the use of Alloy
W hee l Pre s erve r.
Paintwork damage
Repair small area s of p aint damage such
as stone impacts, scratches etc.
immediately, using a Vauxhall Touch-up
Applicator or Vauxhall Spray and Touch-
up Paint before rust can form. If rust ha s
already formed, have the cause rem edied
by a workshop. Please also pay attention
to surfaces and edges b eneath the vehicle
where rust may have formed unnoticed for
some time.
Exterior l ights
Headlight and other protective lig ht bezels
are made of plastic. If they require
additional cleaning after the vehicle has
be en washed, clea n the m with
Car Shampoo. Do not use any abrasive or
caustic agents, do not use an ice scraper,
and do not clean them dry.
Plastic and rubb er p arts
For additiona l cleaning of plastic and
rubber parts, use a cleaner suitable for
vehicle interiors. Do not use any other
agent, and in particular d o not use solvents
or petrol.
Wheels and tyres
Do not u s e high-pre ss ure je t clea ners on
wheels and tyres.
Interior and upholstery
Clea n the ve hicle interior regula rly ,
including the instrument p anel facia, using
Interior / Upholstery Cleaner.
Clean fabric upholstery with a vacuum
cleaner and brush. To remove stains, use a
cleaner that is suitable for both fabrics a nd
vinyl.
Open Velcro fasteners on clothing could
damage seat upholstery. Make sure that
Velcro fasteners are closed.
Do not use cleaning agents such as
acetone, carbon tetrachloride, paint
thinner, paint remover, nail varnish
remover, washing powder or blea ch to
clean fabrics, carpets, the instrument panel
or leather trim 3 in the vehicle interior.
Benzine, petrol, naphtha, enamel reducers
and lacquer thinners are also unsuita ble.
Avoid over-exposure to va pours from
cleaning agents and other chemicals when
cleaning. Whene ver possible, avoid us ing
such c leaning ag ents in small, unventilated
spac es, to av oid inhalation of dangerous
vapours. Open the doors.
If the front seats are equipped with side
airbags 3, do not use chemical solvents or
strong detergents on the seat covers.
Do not satura te the seat covers w ith
Interior / Upholstery Cleaner, to avoid
contaminating the a irbag system,
otherwise the side a irba gs 3 may not
trigger in the event of a collision.
Seat belts
Always k eep seat belts clean a nd dry.
Clean seat belts only with lukewa rm water
or Interior / Upholstery Cleaner.
Periodically check the sea t belts and
replace immediately with new seat belts if
dam age or weak ening of the b elts has
occurred.
Windows
When cleaning the heated rear window,
ma ke sure that the heating element on the
inside of the window is not damaged.
Never place stickers on the inside of the
rear window.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth or chamois
leather, in conjunction with Window
Cleaning Spray a nd Insect R emover. Do not
use sharp instruments or abrasive cleaners.
Vauxhall Windscreen Wash Solvent is
suitable for de-icing windows.
For mechanical removal of ice, use a
commercially available sharp-edged ice
scraper. Press the scraper firmly against
the glass so that no dirt can get under it
and scratch the glass.
