z Close the luggage compa rtm ent cover to
prevent the objects from being reflected
in t h e rea r w i nd ow .
z If the backrests are not folded down
when transporting objects in the
lugga ge c om partment, they m ust be
engaged in their upright position -
see page 37.
z Do not allow the load to protrude above
the upper edge of the rear seat
backrests, or if the rear seat backrests
have been folded down onto the seat
cushions, a bove the uppe r edge of the
front seat backrests.
z The w arning triangle 3 and first aid kit 3
should alway s b e free ly a ccessib le.
z No objects should be placed on the
lugga ge c om partment c over or the
instrum ent pane l. Th ey are re flecte d in
the glas s, obstruct the driver s v iew a nd
will be thrown throug h the vehic le in the
event of heavy braking, for exam ple.
z No objects should be stored in any of the
airb ag inflation zones, as injuries may be
caused when the airbag is triggered.
z Th e lo ad m ust n ot o bs tru ct th e operatio n
of the p edals, handbrake and gearshift
lever or hinder the freedom of movement
of the driver. Do not place any unsecured
objec ts in the interior.
z Bulky objects should not be transported
with the tailga te open or a ja r, otherwise
poisonous exhaust fumes may enter the
vehicle.
z Weights, payload and roof load -
see page 214.
z Driving with a roof load (see also
page 123) inc re ases the sensitivity of the
vehicle to crossw inds and has a
detrimental effect on vehicle handling
owing to the hig her centre of gravity of
the vehicle.

To open, pull handle upwards.
The glove com partment w ill illuminate
whe n op ened .
The glove com partment p artition can b e
re mo ved from i ts gr oo v e.
Store the partition in the groove on the far
left-hand side of the glove compartm ent.
