In cold weather, do not fill the windscreen
wash fluid reservoir more than three-
quarters full, to allow enough room for
expansion if the fluid freezes, and to
prevent damage to the reservoir.
In freezing conditions, use windscreen
wash fluid with sufficient antifreezing
properties. Do not use coolant anti-freeze
or tap water, to avoid freezing the solution
and da maging the wind screen wash
system.
When closing the container, press the lid
down firmly all the way round .
If the fluid in the windscreen wash fluid
reservoir is too low, control indicator G
illuminates in the instrument cluster -
see page 69. Top up wa sh fluid as soon as
possible.

The battery is maintenance-free.
Retro-fitted electrical or electronic
accessories can place an add itional load
on the battery or discharge the battery.
Consult a workshop regarding technical
possibilities, such as fitting a more powerful
battery.
Laying up the vehicle for more than
6 weeks can lead to battery discharge,
which ma y red uce the service life of the
battery. Disconnec t battery from on-board
power supp ly by detaching negative
term inal.
The Vaux hall alarm system 3 siren must be
deactivated as follow s: switch the ignition
on then off, disconnect the vehicle’s
battery within 15 seconds.
Ensure that ig nition is switche d off before
connecting the battery. Then perform the
following actions:
z Set date and time in the inform ation
displa y - see pag es 76, 82.
z If necessary, activate the electric

In order to prevent the battery from
