Always use fine-linked chains that add no
more than 15 mm to the tyre tread and the
inboard sides (including chain lock).
Tyre chains may only be used at s pe eds of
up to 30 mph (50 km/h)

or up to the tyre
chain manufacturer’s rec om mended
maximum speed, whichever is lower.
When travelling on road s that a re free of
snow, they may only be used for brief
periods since they are sub ject to rapid w ear
on a hard road and may sna p.
Avoid sharp turns, bum ps and holes and
do not lock the wheels when braking, to
avoid damaging the tyre chains.
Retighten the chains after driving for
approx. 0.6 miles (1 km). If, at a ny time,
you hear or suspect that the chains are
contacting the vehicle, stop and retighten
the chains.
Always read the instructions supplied with
the tyre chains.
Tem porary sp are wheel
The temporary spare wheel is designed for
use on your vehicle only.
Do not a ttempt to use the spare tyre on a
different wheel, or use a different tyre on
the spare wheel, as they will not fit.

Ensure the temporary spare wheel is
inflated to the correct tyre pressure -

Roof racks 3
For reasons of safety and to avoid
damaging the roof, w e recommend tha t
you use the Vauxhall roof rack system
approved for your vehicle.
Fasten the roof rack to the roof rails
following the instructions that accompany
th e sy ste m, e n su ring th at th e roof load is
evenly distributed over the side or c ross
rails. Loads must not be placed on the roof
surface.
To prevent d amage or loss, check
freq uently that roof loa ds are securely
fas tened .
Driving with a roof load affects the
vehicle’s centre of g ra vity; drive carefully in
crosswinds and d o not d riv e at hig h
speeds.
