To activate
Press the e b utton to turn cruise
control on. Accelerate to the desired speed,
press the d button and release it; the
current speed is stored and m ainta ined.
The a ccelerator pedal can be released
after setting cruise control speed.
Vehicle speed can be increased
temporarily for overtaking purposes,
by depressing the accelerator ped al.
When the accelerator pedal is released, the
previously stored speed is resum ed.
Increase speed
With cruise control active, press and hold
the c b utton and re lease it when the
desired vehicle sp eed is reached.
To increase the speed in steps of
1.2 mph (2 km/h), tap the c button
and release it.
When the c button is released, the
curre n t spe ed is stored an d maintain ed .
Alterna tively, use the accelerator pedal to
increase vehicle speed, press the d
button and release it, then release the
accelerator ped al.
Whe n the d button and the a ccelerator
pedal are released, the current speed is
stored and maintained.
Decrease speed
With cruise control active, press and hold
the d button and re lease it when the
desired vehicle sp eed is reached.
To decre ase th e spe ed in ste ps o f
1.2 mph (2 km/h), tap the d button
and release it.
When the d button is released, the
curre n t spe ed is stored an d maintain ed .
To deactivate
Switch off cruise control when not needed,
to avoid accidental activation.
Press e button to turn c ruise control
off.
Control indicator m ex tinguishes and the
vehicle slowly decelerates. To continue
driving, depress the accelerator pedal in
the usual manner.
For safety reasons, cruise control
deactivates under certain d riving
conditions.
For example:
z If the vehic le speed drops below 20 mph
(30 km/h), or
z If the b ra ke p edal is depressed, or
z If the clutch pedal 3 is depressed, or
z If the automatic tra nsmission 3 se lecto r
lever is in N, or
z If the traction control asp ect of the
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) comes
into a ction, to limit wheel spin.
Resuming the stored speed
Press the c button at speeds above
20 mph (30 km/h); the speed selected
before cruise control was sw itched off, is
resumed.
The value of the store d s pee d is de le ted
when the ignition is switched off or the
e button is pressed.
